Successful candidates must have min of 3 years experience as a UNIX systems administrator in enterprise client/server Solaris 10 operating system environment.

Mandatory Requirements:

(Must have the required min years of experience within last 5 yrs (re: since Feb 2006))

  • > Min 3 yrs of experience as a UNIX Systems Administrator in a client/server Sun/Solaris 10 Operating System environment.
  • > Min 2 yrs of experience with Sun Microsystems midrange and/or enterprise server hardware and disk arrays.
  • > Min 2 yrs of experience with Korn shell scripting.
  • > Min 2 yrs of experience with VERITAS Storage Foundation Suite – Sybase and/or Oracle software.
  • > Min 2 yrs of experience supporting mission critical relational database applications on a Sun/Solaris platform.
  • > Min 2 yrs of experience with Virtual Tape Libraries (VTL).

Desirable Requirements:

  • > Experience with EMC NetWorker and NetWorker Module for Sybase and/or NetWorker Module for Oracle software.
  • > Experience with Computer Associates’ Unicenter AutoSys Job Management software.
  • > Experience with Perl scripting.
  • > Experience with Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Excel, Project, Visio and Outlook).
  • > Technical knowledge of Apache, Samba and ESRI’s ArcGIS software.

Overtime and rotational 24/7 on-call support is required.
